FAQ

What types of yachts are available?
Mono-hulls from 30ft upwards, and in most areas, catamarans can be chartered.

What sailing experience is required for a bare-boat charter?
1 person aboard must have an offshore skippers ticket & at least 1 other should have sailing knowledge.

What experience is necessary to sail in a flotilla?
Minimum of a Day Skipper Certificate is required for all sailing areas EXCEPT the Caribbean. The Greek & Croatian authorities are particularly strict on this & require copies of certificates in advance. 5 & 9 Day courses are available in Durban, Cape Town & Langebaan.

We recommend hiring a Sunsail skipper for anyone who loves sailing but has no offshore qualification. This way you can sit back & relax whilst a professional takes care of everything.
*Skippers require a cabin of their own on all Sunsail charters.

How do I pay ?
Your charter cost is quoted in Dollars. However you pay in SA Rands. We convert Dollars to Rands using the prevailing exchange rate on day of payment. Could not be easier!
